Recuro Health celebrates women leaders of virtual care

Recuro Celebrates Powerful Women in Healthcare, Recognizes Company Leaders as Pioneers of Virtual Care

As the world celebrates Women’s History Month, Recuro honors the vast contributions made by women in the field of medicine and healthcare technology. We also recognize the women in our leadership team who have made significant accomplishments throughout their careers in the telehealth industry and who continue to advance digital solutions as pioneers of virtual care.

Today we spotlight the professional journeys of these three powerful women and look forward to their future impacts as they collectively innovate a virtual-first health approach to personalized care through their leadership roles at Recuro.

Kimberly Darling, President of Sales

Kimberly Darling is a nationally respected healthcare technology entrepreneur, company builder, and leader. She is also a prolific inventor who holds multiple U.S. Patents pertaining to healthcare data, payments, and engagement. Having more than 30 years of sales leadership experience, Kim excels at collaborating with members to provide integrated benefits and unique value solutions.

Prior to joining Recuro, Kim was CEO and founder of Competitive Health, a preeminent builder of custom health solutions. Utilizing award-winning digital health programs, telehealth specialties, and healthcare ancillary services under Kim’s leadership, Competitive Health saved employer groups, insurance carriers, third-party administrators, affinity groups, and exchanges over $100 million dollars.

According to Darling, “Payers are placing a high value on a one-stop resource which integrates all their vendor benefit solutions in one central location for a “complete care” solution. Virtual care means providing a seamless, single-point patient experience. It also means delivering health services that are digitally optimized as a benefit of a member’s health plan – whenever care is needed and wherever the patient is located.”

Kim represents Recuro as a national speaker and advocate of virtual behavioral health. According to Darling, “As we are seeing a national surge in demand for professional counseling and therapy to address stress, anxiety, and depression, more Americans are turning to behavioral health care. Many at risk are finding it difficult to access care when needed most in moments of distress. With stigmas around mental health subsiding, behavioral health is becoming more accepted and utilized as a part of holistic health and primary care model.”

Innovative telehealth technologies developed by Kim are now being utilized to deliver integrated health services virtually, connecting providers and patients face-to-face via real-time video, audio, and instant message interaction. This concierge-like, “virtual visit” experience provides numerous conveniences and benefits to cost-efficient quality behavioral health care.

Allison Martin, Executive Director

Allison is a serial entrepreneur, business executive and Executive Director of Recuro Health. Inspired by cancer prevention in Africa, Allison’s global awards from U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Genentech, Frost and Sullivan, led Allison to becoming a leader in the at-home testing and diagnostics industry.

Allison represents Recuro in presenting alongside industry leaders whose solutions and services advance needed change that will result in greater efficiencies and opportunities in key benefit areas. Allison serves as a champion of Recuro’s Digital Medical Home™, a seamless patient-centric personalized care platform providing on-demand access to integrated virtual care services.

“Recuro is expanding the role of virtual care in support of the global benefits community with meaningful solutions that address the cost, quality and access to care for members nationwide,” says Martin. Digital Medical Home provides core services that include virtual primary and urgent care, behavioral health, in-home diagnostics/labs, genomic testing and more that can also be embedded into a payer’s existing benefits. Customized and scalable options are also available, offering a personalized and proactive digital solution that serves as a one-stop shop for all health and wellness benefits on a single platform.

Gina Fioretti, Executive Director, Genomics

As a global authority on genomics, Gina leads Recuro’s genomics-powered precision health solution that pinpoints genetic risk for disease, optimizes treatments, and creates better health and wellness outcomes for our members.

Having earned multiple degrees in biological sciences, nutrition science and genomics, Gina has a highly specialized comprehension of genomic and epigenetic interdependencies and their alignment with health and biological pathways. She served as a consultant around the globe to laboratories, health care practitioners and Fortune 500 companies on personalized medicine and strategic use of genomics.

Gina’s work with Recuro is advancing the digital application of precision medicine, a form of medicine that includes information about a person’s genetic profile to prevent, diagnose or treat disease. By leveraging genetics, medical teams can understand contributing factors to health conditions, enabling more accurate diagnostics and customized treatment plans.

Under Gina’s leadership, Recuro is literally building the platform that makes it virtually accessible and scalable. “This integrated approach increases accessibility and utilization for both physicians and patients, leading to better outcomes through improved safety and efficacy,” says Fioretti.
